Last night was the best sleep I had in weeks. Breaking away from the usual 5 hour intervals and having to drag my butt to the common room and stare at textbooks, I lazed in bed for 10 whole hours, waking up only to shift the positions, depending on which part of the body felt like it needed the amazing touch of comforter layers more.

All thanks to the final paper being yesterday.

Obviously, one is his usual worrisome self. How did I do? Damn, I missed mentioning that case. Did i really write that on the paper? Is that even a legal answer?

Out of sight, out of mind, I try. Not easy.

But the sudden lift of burden and duty can be a tad overwhelming. One doesn’t really know what to do with his time. He did his 2 week due laundry (including the only pair of jeans he had worn for the past two weeks), cleared his room, tidied up up the scattered notes and chucked them in a corner, not throwing them away as an insurance should he have to resit his paper. He shops, and as time passes enjoys the privilege of not needing to notice. I’ll never understand retirement.

Damage control will need to begin. I’ve grown fatter, and my skin ravaged from the unhealthy sleeping habits. Pimples broke out, stomache feels heavier. Janet will be joining me in the gym this Thursday after her last paper (company law), so we’ll keep each other company while running on the spot indoors.

I’ve moved flats, did I mention?

Yeah. Quite digging the new place, especially the cleanliness. The flatmates are warm, not that the old ones weren’t… just… there are less chinese in the new one, and even the ones that are here are friendlier. Taiwanese/Hong Kong/Mainland China chinese people are impossible to mix with. Malaysians/Singaporeans, I never liked them generally to begin with unless I somehow got close to any.

Been visiting Starbucks more frequently for some reason. Maybe I’m imagining that one deserves to treat himself more.

February is an important date. I’m going to buy some color pencils and writing pads.

ps Jurisprudence lecture starts next week! Fuck yeah! “Lawgeekeryftw!” – Xiao
